Presentation to Review PSIP Standards, the FCC’s Spectrum Auction and the Digital Transition’s Effect on Television Stations
TitanTV Inc., the foremost provider of data and real-time scheduling tools to the broadcast television industry, today announced that it is scheduled to make PSIP-related presentations at two upcoming trade shows.
The PSIP 101 presentations will review PSIP and its history, current file formats, and how the post-auction channel repack and the digital broadcasting transition deadline will affect Low Power Television stations.
The first will be made at NAB 2016 in Las Vegas on Monday, April 18th at 10 AM PDT in the Westgate Convention Center. The session is a part of the ATBA LPTV Day activities. Marge Johnson, Technical Support Analyst at TitanTV, will conduct the presentation.
The second will be at the National Translator Association Meeting and Convention, at the Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center in Spokane Valley, WA on May 14th, time TBD. This presentation will be made by Heidi Steffen, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TitanTV.
While the PSIP 101 presentations are primarily geared to LP television stations, engineers and staff members from all other stations are encouraged to attend as well as to meet in person many of the TitanTV staffers they regularly communicate with throughout the year.
For those who cannot attend the PSIP 101 presentation at either show, the materials covered in it are being made available as a webinar for viewing online. Two webinars have been scheduled:
Tuesday, May 31st at 10 AM CDT
Thursday, June 2nd at 2 PM CDT
